Housing and Communities
Join our award-winning Me and My Learning team, working to support people into work by improving their learning, skills, health and wellbeing. As well as mentors working intensively with individuals to put together a programme to support them in becoming independent, we also have a sports team working to keep our communities healthy.
The Housing team includes professionals from the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) working to support people in tenancy matters and providing good quality housing.
If you are more hands-on and want to work outdoors then we have a range of roles within our Environmental Maintenance team. We work closely with Brooksby Melton College on our apprenticeship programme in horticulture and also have seasonal opportunities in the summer months.
Revenues and Benefits work closely with people and the Customer Services team to provide good advice on financial and welfare matters. They manage the collection of Council Tax and business rates and provide support for those who are struggling to pay and income recovery.
Working across all service areas you will find our Customer Services team. If communicating with customers in the front line is your particular strength then you will find a friendly team who are answering telephone calls, responding to general emails and meeting with customers in our offices. Many of our team have completed NVQ's in Customer Service and we offer an apprenticeship which starts with working on our reception desk to understand what great customer service is all about.
